‘Tom’s online drumming school is awesome — you can really tell how much heart and effort he’s put into it. ‘I already had plenty of access to drum education when I met Tom at the UK Drum Show, where he hosted a workshop in the Evans Room. His workshop was full of positivity and fun, so I was curious when he launched Learn to Drum with Tom. I have been a member for a few months now and have been impressed by the cool and creative environment of this community. I have been encouraged through exciting and original challenges to share recordings of my progress, which is something I used to avoid at all costs, but now feels easy as part of this group. It is not all fun and games, however—Tom always seems to have the best tips to help you overcome tricky exercises and improve your playing. ‘This group is amazing! I have learned a lot and received so much positivity. Tom does a spectacular job. If you are in a different time zone, like me (let’s say 7 hrs away from the UK in terms of timing), he does keep record of any live lesson so you can watch it back which is helpful if you want to look back at any time.
